NATIONAL MARINA DAY
On Saturday, June 11th from 10am till Noon, we will be celebrating National Marina Day by offering $10/person pontoon
Lake tours and $5/person Sailing Simulator Rides (for people less than 165lbs). Because of the limited seating available,

Visitors to the KYS C Boat House have asked us about the two Nautical Flags that
we display by our front door. These flags are called Burgees. A burgee is flown
on a facility (facilities can be either a nautical building or vessel). Its purpose is
to identify all facilities belonging to a particular flotilla. The Red/White burgee
represents our sailing club. The Red/White/Blue burgee represents our pontoon
club. Burgees registered on www.burgees.com allows club members reciprocal
privileges. When cruising this can be beneficial because you are a treated as a member at reciprocating clubs.                                                                                               This means you can use their facility as your own, just like a Golf Club membership.
Anyone who takes sailing lessons from us is automatically a KYS C member. They are
welcome to buy from us and display the KYS C burgee on their vessel. Anyone who
joins our pontoon club is automatically a Lake Arrowhead Pontoon Club member and
are welcome to buy and display the LA burgee on their vessel. The LA burgee can be
purchased from Capt Woody by calling him at 908.670.9486. By the way, Capt Woody
proudly raised and flew the LA burgee on our couple’s island cruise last November. He
was aboard “Twin Dancer” a 40-foot Catamaran in the British Virgin Islands.
